Dear Editor,
I respectfully request that the Pacific Companies Resident Rewards remove their sign in front of the Madera Peak Vista Apartments.
Because of the high rental increases it is no longer “affordable”. The last increase was sent with a cover letter from the Aperto Property Management Inc. that we were not to contact the owners to talk about the increase. So here we are confronted with paying rent or buying food or getting our medication.
Since children are living here, it is no longer an “exclusive senior” facility. Thus changing the way we live and interact with neighbors. We are now facing exposure to normal children’s illness such as: colds, chicken pox or measles. A common cold is not dangerous to children but would spread through the seniors in this community like wildfire.
Why? After 10 years of having no children in the complex.
The sign is an affront to us that live here and an affront to all the members of this community who worked so hard to get this senior facility established.
