Lupe born in Lochiel, Ariz. and lived on the San Rafael ranch where her dad was the foreman, the family moved to Patagonia around 1948. She graduated from Patagonia High School and married her sweetheart Manuel.

Lupe was a devoted wife and mother to her family. She was the household manager for her children, the chauffer for all the activities from school club events; to Basketball, Baseball and Football practices and games, Summer Little League and Babe Ruth baseball day and night.  Always helped with the concession stands and preparing food for the summer baseball leagues.

Mom always helped with Church events at St. Ambrose in Tucson or Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in Miami, Ariz. Mom was known for her handmade/homemade flour tortillas, Chimichanga’s, Albondigas and tacos. She loved doting on her children and watching them grow and mature into young adults, she missed them so much when we all went away to college, as we  missed her when we left home.

Mom loved Dad so much, as it was easy to see the love she had for dad, through it all and during her 63 years of marriage, she adored her high school sweetheart, Manuel. They prayed together nightly by holding hands and leaning their heads together. Mom is home now with Dad.

We miss you Mom and Dad dearly, as your children we know how blessed and fortunate we have been to have you both caring and loving us through our childhood and as adults.  You both are our examples of ‘loving and giving’ parents/marriage partners - by your dedication and love to each other and that same love your shared with us, our children and families.

We love you and miss you ‘Mom’ - Teresa, Manny, Roberto and Michael
