The National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists is a very inspiring and motivating conference for anyone who is interested into going into the medical field.

I have gone for two years now, and both times I have gone I have had an amazing experience. There are many stories and experiences shared, which makes it inspiring to go out into the same field of work.

Within the two and a half days the conference lasted, there where speakers who were patients at one point and shared their experience of their illness and how it affected them physically and emotionally. Other speakers that were there were different kinds of doctors talking about their profession and what they specialize in.

Not only so they talk about that, but they also talk about the one patient that changed their view of medicine for them, and the experience they have had so far. A lot of the doctors had similar experiences when they started, that was that they had to fail first to succeed in the long run.

On the third day, there is a live streamed surgery the attendees get to watch and ask the surgeon operating questions about their careers, or what they are doing during the surgery.

For me the surgery is exciting to watch and inspirational because surgery is the field of medicine, I am interested in going into

However, it is not all about listening to speakers, but also building friendships and relationships with teenagers the same age as you who aspire to similar goals as you.

There are two-hour lunch breaks to socialize with other teens from all around the world. And on the last day of the Congress, there is a dance after dinner where you get to dance and have fun with the friends you have made just days before.
