Linda Jo Battraw, age 73, of Roosevelt, Ariz. passed away on April 17, 2017 at her residence in Roosevelt, Ariz. She was born in Los Angeles, Calif. on Dec. 25, 1943, the daughter of Jose and Barbara (Elliott) De La Poza.
Linda drove a water truck for the Roosevelt Volunteer Fire Department and she also was a caregiver to her son, David Battraw. She enjoyed crocheting and was a member of Roosevelt Women’s Club.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Battraw, in January of 2011.
She is survived by her children, Michael Joseph Battraw, Paul Edward Battraw, Alicia Booker and David Battraw; her brother, Philip De La Poza (Nadene) and her sister, Arlene Weiner (Mark); nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Miami, Ariz.
