Globe — Liberty High School held its 2017 Commencement at High Desert Middle School on Thursday evening.
The Master of Ceremonies was Robert Pastor, the Liberty High School Governing Board president. Pastor Byron Mills of St. John’s Episcopal Church gave the invocation, while graduate Jessica Flores led the crowd in the saying of the Pledge of Allegiance.
The guest speaker was Globe Mayor Al Gameros. Corbin Drake Van Hassel spoke on behalf of the graduating class. The following students make up the 2017 graduating class for Liberty High School: Joseph Anthony Acosta, Erich Neason Baughman, Hailee Kaylynn Bosen, Carrie Marie Casey, Angel Elijah Curiel, Joshua Ryan Durnan, Jessica Marie Flores, Omar Isaiah Flores, Cassandra Ann Garcia, Janesa Kyana Garcia, Tristan Michael Gonzalez, Khyla Nicole Hammond, Dominique Esmeralda Johnson, Conner Dean Lee, Mark Edward Knight, Sarena Isabella Lawrie, Arnold Charles Mull, Cheyenne Katherine-Kaye Mullen, Justin LeRoy Pesce, Aryana Renie Ruiz, Terence Daniel Steele, Jasmine Marie Teeter, Morgan Scott Thompson, and Corbin Drake Van Hassel. Adult graduates include Joshua Joel-J Dillon, Kendra Rose Preston, Natalie Josephine Peters, Alfonso Thorne Jr. and Scott James Victor.
