Editor: The letter carriers would like to thank everyone in the community who participated in the food drive last Saturday.
My dad has been a letter carrier at the Globe Post Office all 27 years that they have conducted the food drive, and I can remember helping on the big day when I was a girl. It always made me feel good about my community, and about being a part of it.
The Letter Carrier’s Food Drive was quite a success this year. Food donations reached 6,555 pounds, all sorted and weighed at the post office by community volunteers including 4-H kids.
All these generous donations will go right back into the community through the local food bank to feed our needy neighbors.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this food drive a success.
