Posted

The final goodbye for Saralyn Wesley Hooke started with a visitation at 7 a.m. followed by a funeral that ran according to CDC guidelines. The turnout was so large that the funeral procession arrived in Bylas later than usual. As a finale, Miss San Carlos Rodeo Queen Chantel Roy who, bore the flag, led over 20 riders and a long line of cars to Blackpoint Cemetery for the burial. Behind Chantel rode Dee Randall leading a horse with an  empty saddle.  As a young woman Saralyn Hooke served in the Army National Guard. Her fellow riders honored her with their escort.
