"Knock and talk" leads to Marijuana seizure

Sheriff J. Adam Shepherd would like to release the following information regarding the seizure of approximately 21.75 pounds of Marijuana and 4.5 grams of THC wax from a “knock and talk” at a residence on the 700 block of Agave Drive in Globe.

"Knock and talk" leads to Marijuana seizure

Sheriff J. Adam Shepherd would like to release the following information regarding the seizure of approximately 21.75 pounds of Marijuana and 4.5 grams of THC wax from a “knock and talk” at a residence on the 700 block of Agave Drive in Globe.

On February 14, 2018 at approximately 2:46 pm The Gila County Drug, Gang and Violent Crimes Task Force consisting of Detectives from the Gila County Sheriff’s Office and Globe Police Department along with Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office conducted a “knock and talk” at a residence on the 700 block of Agave Drive in Globe. As a result of the “knock and talk” Detectives contacted Steven Ryan Arnold of Carmichael California and Marko Orozco of Wilton California who were attempting to flee the residence.

A Sheriff’s Office canine alerted on two vehicles located on the property. A subsequent search of the vehicles resulted in the seizure of 21.75 pounds of Marijuana with a street value of approximately $22,000.00, 4.5 grams of THC wax valued at $450.00 and numerous pieces of Drug Paraphernalia. 

As a result of this investigation:

Steven Ryan Arnold , age 26, of Carmichael California, was arrested and booked into the Gila County Jail for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana for Sale, Possession of a Narcotic drug, Possession of a Narcotic drug for sale and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.   

Marko Orozco, age 26, of Wilton California, was arrested and booked into the Gila County Jail for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana for Sale, Possession of a Narcotic drug, Possession of a Narcotic drug for sale and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  The Sheriff’s Office is committed to continuing an aggressive stance on the drug problems that impact our communities.
