First of all, I would like to give thanks to our Creator whom was with me before, during, and after for with God all things are possible. Secondly, I would like to express humbly from my heart my sincere thanks to all of you whom voted for me and the trust and integrity that you saw in me and to all of you whom encouraged me during my campaign for the Gila County Supervisor District 3 to make a change. This year was the largest voter turnout ever! I learned a lot about District 3 that a lot of Gila County Individuals need a lot of assistance whether it be employment opportunities, health and public safety concerns, as well as basic maintenance of homes for elders and that San Carlos needed to be seated and represented at the table. These were just some of the comments that were expressed to myself as I reached out and visited District 3 communities. I feel I did the best I could and that I ran a race of humility, integrity and honesty. One of my good friends from Globe, Ariz. stated: “I’ve been thinking about you this past week. I am so proud of you sister. I don’t have an ounce of the courage you have to stand up for what you believe and to represent all of us with such integrity and honesty. Thank you!“
Finally, I would like to thank the Gila County voters of District 3 and so fortunate to have local support of my loving family of Mom and Dad, my sisters, nieces, nephews, uncles and cousins, friends, my staff, Bill Leister and Lisa Brazil, Alex Ritchie, Jacqueline Mull, David Francis, Patricia McBrayer, Ernie Lopez, Eric Kramer, Fred Barcon, Carmen Casillas, and Christopher Bender that stood beside me and assisted and many more. Thank you for endorsements and support that I received from our San Carlos Apache Tribe: Honorable Terry Rambler Tribal Chairman, Tao Etpison Tribal Vice Chairman, and Tribal Council. Also, I give Thanks to the White Mountain Apache tribe, Dems from Gila County Globe and Payson, and Congressman Tom O’Halleran endorsement over the KYAY 91.1 Radio Station!
It was truly a humbling experience. Ahi’ye’, which means Thank You in our Apache Language. Till we meet again!
