Kathleen Jewel “Cati” Landa, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2018 at Haven Health in Globe, Arizona. She was 97 years old.
She was born in Bisbee, Arizona to Cletus “Chuck” and Refugia “Cuca” Myers on January 12, 1921. The family later moved to Tucson where she attended Crawford Middle School.
In 1936, the family moved to Globe, Arizona where she graduated from Globe High School in 1940.
She married Ralph Landa on December 24, 1941 and became a homemaker. As a homemaker, she enjoyed doing daily crossword puzzles, dancing, knitting, arts and crafts, cooking, baking and camping.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Cletus “Chuck” and Refugia “Cuca” Myers; her devoted husband, Ralph Landa,; her brothers, Richard “Dick” Myers and Gerald “Jerry” Myers; and her beloved grandson, Stephen “Stevie” Landa.
She is survived by her sister, Gloria Larimore of Paso Dobles, California; her four children, Thomas “Tommy”, John (Alma), Landa of Laveen, Arizona, Elizabeth “Betty” (Tom) Anderson of Gardena, California, and Robert Ralph “Bobby” Landa of Globe, Arizona; seven wonderful and beautiful grandchildren, Michael “Mickey” (Lorraine) Landa of Glendale, Arizona, Mark “Alex” (Ashley) Landa of Laveen, Arizona, Sabrina Landa of Laveen, Arizona, Elizabeth (Jeff) Gojkovich of Pima, Arizona, Manuel (Ericka) Arellano of Los Angeles, California, Adrienne Mackaman of Seaguville, Texas, Ryan Landa of San Tan Valley, Arizona, and Aaron Landa of Globe, Arizona; and twelve (12) wonderful and beautiful great-grandchildren, John, Jobe, Jade, Jacob, Sophia, Josiah, Peyton Joy, Xander, Ava Jade, Amaree, Isaiah, Isaac and many wonderful and beautiful nieces and nephews.
Visitation was on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Bulman Miles Chapel, 237 South Sutherland St., Globe, Arizona 85501. Rosary followed at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was conducted on the following day, Monday, February 12, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 201 South Broad Street, Globe, Arizona 85501. Interment followed at Globe City Cemetery, 1700 Hackney Ave., Globe, Arizona 85501.
