San Carlos Varsity and Junior Varsity teams lost to rival Fort Thomas on Tuesday Sept. 3.
The Braves took the first JV set 25-20, but the Ft. Thomas Apaches came back winning 25-12 and 15 to 12 in the next sets.
Ft. Thomas also won the Varsity match.
After winning the first game 25-21, the Apaches lost the second game to the leadership of Sophomore Tracey Stanley who started serving when the score was 7-3 for San Carlos and lost her serve when the score was 17-3. They just couldn’t make up the deficit Stanley and her team created.
In the last set Ft. Thomas created the lead, which San Carlos could not overcome. They won 25-19.
