Juan Medina (Johnny)(Boy), July 5, 1942-March 24, 2019.

Juan was born in Claypool at his family home on Puerto Rico Canyon to Juan Medina and Francisca Laurias. He attended Miami Schools. He excelled in sports, football was his best. He met his future wife Sunny Dowdy there. They got married right out of high school. He joined the U.S. Air Force and they moved to Tonopah, Nev. Where they had their first two children. Later they moved to the Bay Area in California where he worked and went to college. He was a Jack of all trades working several different lines of work. They also had two more children there. He moved back to Arizona in 1975 and has lived here since.

Preceding him in his parents Juan and Francisca Medina; his wife Sunny, Fransisca (BoBo) Smith. Surviving him are his children Christina Medina, John Medina, Tommie Medina, and Sunny Medina. His grandchildren Anthony Medina ,Andrew Medina, Lacey Compton, Jade Medina, Daniel Medina, Ambriah Mayorga, Efrem Mayorga, Jr., and Myah Gutierrez. His great-grandchildren, Nathan Medina, Daniel Gutierrez, Alex Juvera, Jesus Juvera, Antonella Compton, Annaleigh Mayorga and Roman Medina, his siblings Manuel Medina, Christina Ybarra, Lucia Benavidez, Stella Cantu, and Mary Ann Montero his beloved dog Twinkle Toes.

Celebration of his life will take place Friday, April 12, 2019 at Bulman Miles Funeral Services, 237 S. Sutherland St. in Globe at 6 p.m.
