John “Juan” Gonzales: 85 gained his heavenly reward on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in Globe Arizona.
John was born March 17, 1932 in Globe, Arizona to Antonio and Candida Gonzales. He graduated from Globe High School and served his country honorably in the US Army for two years.
Returning to Arizona he worked at the San Manuel mine for three years. Then he worked at Globe High School as a custodian and maintenance man until he retired. He was a member of the local VFW and the American Legion.
His close friends called him “Compa”. He was a life-time member of the Devine Presbyterian Church in Miami, Arizona.
John is survived by his siblings: Robert (Dorothy) Gonzales, Henry (Petra) Gonzales, Livi Watts-Gonzales, Jimmy Gonzales and several nieces and nephews who have loved him and will miss him. He is preceded in death by his parents: Antonio and Candida Gonzales, his sisters: Lillie Keir-Gonzales, Mary Gonzales and brother, Tony Gonzales all of whom he loved.
Vigil for John will be on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bulman Miles Funeral Services at 237 S. Sutherland St. Globe, Arizona, 85501.
Visitation is at 9 a.m. Wednesday, November 29 at Bulman Miles in Globe with the services to follow at 10 a.m. Interment will be at the Globe Cemetery in Globe, Arizona following the funeral services.
