Jesse C. Amezcua, 66

Jesse C. Amezcua, age 66, born in Tijuana, Mexico on Friday, July 1, 1955, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021. He unfortunately succumbed to a four-year battle to colon cancer and chemotherapy treatments.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 42 years, Terri Amezcua; sons Jesse A. Amezcua Jr., Aaron E. Amezcua and Saul Salas Jr.; daughters Phylisha S. Amezcua and Tricia T. Salas; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and siblings; and many nieces and nephews.

Jesse worked in painting and maintenance his entire career. He also volunteered with the local fire department in the Globe-Miami area. He worked very hard to provide the best way he knew how. He would always remind his kids to work hard, get along and always love one another. Jesse kept his doors open to the ones who needed it. He had a strong, loving heart.

He loved making special memories with his family. They especially loved going back home to Southern California for the summer to spend time with family. Everyone who encountered Jesse would say he was goofy and enjoyed making others laugh. Even during his last days he would make the medical staff laugh with his sense of humor.

Thank you to the Banner Desert medical staff and Hospice Care of Arizona for their help with his care. Cremation services were entrusted to Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery and Funeral Home in Mesa, Az. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
