James D (J.D.) Riley passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. on June 27,2018. He was born in Albuquerque New Mexico on Aug. 29,1944. He went to school in Estancia, where he met and married Janie Norman on July 6, 1962. They moved to the Globe-Miami area in 1965 and settled in Wheatfields. J.D. went to work at Inspiration Copper Co. in September 1965 and moved to the Rod Plant when it opened and worked there until he retired in April 2002. J.D. enjoyed working with horses, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. J.D. had two children, Robert Riley and Billie Jane Riley; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. JD had two sisters living in Estancia New Mexico: Patsy Riley and Dorothy Greene and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of very good friends. Viewing will be at Lamont Mortuary on July 7 from 2-4 p.m. J.D. will be laid to rest in the Estancia Cemetery at a later date.
