The Cobre Valley community will hold an Independence Day parade and celebration on Wednesday, July 4. Gather along Broad and Pine streets in downtown Globe for the parade, beginning at 9 a.m., or join with a float. Advertise local business or organization, promote upcoming events, or just celebrate by decorating the family vehicle. Parade applications are available at the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce for pickup.
After the parade, take the family to Ragus football field at Miami High School for a day of celebration sponsored by Freeport McMoRan. Beginning at 10 a.m. enjoy food, games, music and entertainment in the grass, followed by the grand fireworks display off of the Claypool tailings.
