Tim Humphrey, Gila County Supervisor for district 2 donated a truck and the use of a trailer to the probation department’s Community Restitution Program on Wednesday at the Pinal Cemetery in Central Heights.
The truck will be used by probationers to clean up the cemetery and other areas in the county and its cities.
According to Eddie Reyes from probation, it will also help probationers who have fines they cannot pay, by allowing them to work off the fines.
The county will be working with organization such as Arizona at Work and Workforce Development through Gila Community College to give ex-prisoners a second chance.
