Honoring Fallen Heroes

In the year 1881 Gila County was established in the Territory of Arizona. Since that year there has been over forty men and women who have given their lives in the line of duty as police officers, firefighters, and medical response personnel. These who gave everything to their fellow citizens and neighbors in Gila County ought also to never be forgotten for their sacrifice. This is the mission of the Gila County Public Safety Memorial Association, to established a monument in tribute to these fallen heroes here in Gila County and to establish a fund in support of the families of those who may yet make that sacrifice. To accomplish these goals, we are announcing our Cyber May Day Giveaway raffle.

On May 1, 2020, all raffle tickets will be entered into the pot for their chance to be drawn and win one of three prizes: an Insignia 39 inch flat screen TV, a Dragon Touch 10 inch Android tablet, or a copper splash live oak tree.

Tickets are available now at the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce for $5 each or five chances for $20. Don’t miss this opportunity to win a great prize and to support our local heroes. Winners will be drawn at our Monday, May 5 meeting. The Gila County Public Safety Memorial Association welcomes everyone to join us at our monthly meetings at 4 p.m. on the first Monday of every month at the Gila County Historical Museum.
