The Arizona Silver Belt, in partnership with the Gila County Historical Museum, is hosting a photo contest that will be run in the pages of the Silver Belt for the next nine weeks leading up to Old Dominion Days, coming to Globe in September.

Each week during the contest period, three photos taken somewhere in the Globe‐Miami communities, along with location clues, will be placed randomly throughout the newspaper. On the Monday following the photo’s publication, the photos will also appear on the Museum’s website at www.GilaCountyHistoricalMuseum.org and the Museum’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/gilahistorical/. Additional photos not shown in the Silver Belt will also be on the Museum’s website and Facebook pages.

Contest entry forms may be picked up at the Gila County Historical Museum and the Silver Belt offices. Contestants are to place the location of the photo item by the corresponding number on the form. The submitted forms with the most correct answers will be placed in a drawing for the contest prizes. The decisions of the judges will be final.

The drawing will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. at the Gila County Historical Museum, located at 1330 N. Broad St. Globe, Ariz. Winners need not to be present to win. Gila County Historical Society board members and employees of the Arizona Silver Belt are ineligible to enter the contest.

To be eligible for the contest drawing, entries must be submitted to the Museum in person or by mail to Gila County Historical Museum, P.O. Box 2891, Globe, Ariz. 85502 on or before Sept. 8.

Contest prizes are:

First Place prize: $100;

Second Place prize: $50; and,

Third Place prize: $25.
