The High Desert Humane Society is recruiting outgoing, enthusiastic volunteers to staff its Furniture Resale Store at 395 N. Broad St. in Globe.
Volunteers at the store provide a crucial service, raising money to support the society’s mission, which is to: prevent cruelty to animals, provide relief to animals who are suffering, promote humane education, and provide for spaying and neutering of
animals to limit pet populations.
All sales proceeds from the store go to support that mission.
The following information is provided for interested volunteers:
• The store is open Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Volunteer hours are flexible (all day, half day, or other, as desired). We'll work with your schedule.
• We provide training and all materials.
• We provide comfortable surroundings. The store is heated and air-conditioned.
We plan to provide a refrigerator and microwave for
the preparation of meals. There are no sales goals for volunteers. And, within limits, volunteers may bring their pets to the store.
For further information on this opportunity to help the animals, please call 512-468-6957.
