The Homeless Coalition of Cobre Valley held their first annual yard sales on March 20 and 27 at the Divine Grace Presbyterian Church.  Elizabeth Eaton took some awesome pictures of the event. People were enjoying the perfect weather and getting great bargains.  The only thing that surpassed the enthusiasm of the customers was the generosity of the people that donated the items for our event. You are awesome!!! HCCV would like to thank everyone involved in making this event a great success: Divine Grace Presbyterian Church for allowing us to host the event in their parking lot, Gila Community College nursing students, Globe High JROTC, Town of Miami for storage space, Miami High Art students for making our “Yard Sale” sign, BHBD Recovery, RAM Specialist and Little Caesars for providing food. Also, thanks to all people that provided the use of their vehicles and gave of their time.  You are all greatly appreciated.  All the money raised will go to the Homeless Coalition of Cobre Valley to help the homeless in the area as well as provide assistance to people that have been displaced inadvertently through the use of our TAP (Transient Aid Program). We look forward to doing this again next year.
