Guillermo (Bill) Vargas, 55

Posted

Guillermo (Bill as known to friends and family) Vargas passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sept. 29, 2019. He was 55 years old.

Bill was born in Newton, Kansas to Olivia and Bill Vargas, Sr. He moved to Globe, Ariz. in 1986. It was here that he began his career in the copper mines and eventually for Bridgestone Tires.

Those that knew Bill knew him best for many things: his larger than life personality, his quick wit, his appetite for fun, and his generous spirit. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially when it included food. His children were his world, and he worked very hard to take care of them the best way he knew how.

Bill was also known for his impeccable work ethic. He was a strong and proud man who understood the value of hard work and doing the job right. It was not uncommon for Bill to work two jobs at once, as being unproductive was just not in his nature.

Bill left behind many people who loved him, including his three children: Devyn, Angel and Tova Vargas, and eight grandchildren: Keira, Jayvin, Xavier, Ethan, Zoey, Damien, Derek Jr and Carson. He also leaves behind his mother, Olivia (John) Goodall, sister Mary (Joe) Barthell, and brother, Dominic Goodall all of Kansas, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. His father, Bill Vargas Sr and his sister, Melissa Smith, preceded Bill in death.
