Greg Lazarin

Posted

Greg was called to heaven to be with Our Lord on July 13, 2021. Prior to his death the Lord called for Greg’s father, Elias C. Lazarin Jr., his maternal grandparents, Narcisco Gonzales and Gertrude Gonzales, and his paternal grandparents Elias P. Lazarin Sr. and Celestina Lazarin. Greg was also preceded in death by many more family members, who will welcome Greg with their heavenly loving arms.

Greg is survived by his mother Alice Lazarin, his sisters Tina Carnahan (Jody) and Grace Lazarin (Les), three nephews and nieces, two great-nephews and one great-great-nephew due in November. Greg is also survived by his longtime companion Beatrice Wyndham.

But Greg’s pride and joy was his children; sons Elias Z. Lazarin and Gregory P. Lazarin, daughter Covina Lazarin and stepdaughter Alexis Cothrun.

Greg loved the great outdoors. So when he had his kids they spent time at the lake, river or mountains.  Greg also loved cooking. He cooked either inside or outside on his BBQ. There was never a dull moment in Greg’s life. If he saw a person in need, he would help without question.

Greg’s generation was one that when you are born, your first friends are your first cousins. Greg remembered fondly the family sitting on the porch at his paternal grandparents’ house. We all played together and got into trouble together. It was all good clean fun that unless you lived it, you could never understand it. We considered each other more like brothers and sisters.

Greg graduated from Miami High School in 1984 and was admitted to Arizona State University with distinction. Greg completed his education by becoming an expert X-ray tech. He was a business owner for many years in the Globe – Miami – Superior area.

Greg will be deeply missed because he was deeply loved.  He was the epitome of the saying:

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but the number of moments that take your breath away.”

Services were held on July 19, 2021, at Bulman Miles Funeral Services, Globe. Guestbook can be signed at ww.BulmanMiles.com.
