Two women reportedly found in possession of some 400 Fentanyl-laced prescription pills have been arrested by the Globe Police Department.

According to a news release from Globe Police Chief Dale A. Walters, officers found illegal prescription medication during a Sept. 25 traffic stop in the area of 1100 N. Broad St. Their investigation led to a second traffic stop near Cottonwood and Broad Streets, where the two women were found with more illegal prescription drugs. Through interviews, officers determined that the two – identified as Brooke Rochelle Jennings, 41, of Globe and Codi Renee Botbyl, 36, of Mesa – were involved in possessing counterfeit Oxycodone pills laced with Fentanyl. Officers were led to a residence where they found and seized 407 Fentanyl-laced pills, along with methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The pills had a reported street value of $6,100.

Jennings and Botbyl reportedly later admitted their involvement in getting the pills from Phoenix and bringing them to Globe.

Jennings was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of narcotic drugs, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, transportation of narcotic drugs for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Botbyl was arrested for possession of narcotic drugs, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, transportation of narcotic drugs for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.
