Globe wrestling travels to Douglas, Casa Grande with mixed results

Globe Tiger wrestlers traveled to Douglas for the 41st annual Tim Brown wrestling invitational on Dec. 14 and 15. 

The Tigers faced off with many wrestlers from the southern section of Arizona, Texas and New Mexico.

106: Freshman John Martinez ended the tournament with a record of 8-0 and placed first.

132: Sophomore Seth Durbin also ended the tournament with a record of 8-0 and placed first.

138: Freshman Angel Hernandez placed third with a record of 8-1.

145: Freshman Refugio “Gabe” Gerardo placed fourth with a record of 6-3.

182: Sophomore Jonathan Ortega placed third with a record of 7-2.
