Dale Walters was appointed Permanent Police Chief for the City of Globe in a special council meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 7.
Walters thanked the Council and said that “The City of Globe has an historical significance for the great state of Arizona, and to be a part of that is extremely exciting to myself and to my family.”
He praised members of the department and said that he would be reaching out to the department “to get a good grasp of what’s going on so when I get here on the 10th, I can hit the ground running.”
He also mentioned that he could see from his interactions with members of the city government that “everybody cared.” And members of the council expressed their appreciation.
