Globe High School yearbook staff gathers ghost stories

Globe — The Globe High School yearbook class is gathering ghost stories about Globe High School. Since our school building is more than 100 years old, we know that thousands of people have walked these halls and experienced many things. Our school survived the Great Depression, the Spanish flu and many more historical events.

We all have heard the stories about the little boy playing with the ball on the stairs, or the strange noises in the gym, and we hope to compile as many of those stories as we can and include them in our school “history book” – the Wigwam yearbook.

The hauntings truly make our school unique and the students hope to capture that information in one place, so we can share it with current and former students and staff.

The yearbook class recently spent some time exploring the school and can’t wait to hear the stories that our community has to offer. GHS is listed on several paranormal web sites, including hauntedplaces.org, and has been explored by several paranormal research agencies.

If you or anyone you know has stories to share with us, please email sonia.yanez@globeschools.org or you can send mail to Sonia Yanez at 460 N. Willow St., Globe, AZ  85501. Also, you may connect with us at www.facebook.com/GHSJLS. Thank you for your help!
