INDIANAPOLIS, IND. — Allicia Woodring, Krislyn Alford, Madeline Belling and Connor Sawyer (pictured), recently competed in the National Poultry Evaluation Competition after winning the Arizona State Poultry Evaluation CDE at Yuma in April. Along with their advisor, Ms. Lynn Woolever-Telleen (pictured, left), the students practiced their poultry evaluation skills, studied various birds and their composition, and drilled on weekends to prepare for the event.
This is the first time that a team from Globe has won a state competition to be eligible to compete at National Convention. Competing with 38 other teams, the Globe team finished with three bronzes and one silver finish for an overall team bronze. They were welcomed home Saturday, Oct. 27 with a banner made by Western Reprographics.
