Glenn Nelson “Ted” Speer, age 91, a resident of Miami, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2018.

Ted was a life-time member of Central Christian Church in Globe, Arizona. 

He was born on October 9, 1926 to  Sylvester and Zella Speer. 

He served his country proudly in World War II in the United States Navy,  worked at the Inspiration/Cypress Mine in Miami, Arizona now known as Freeport McMoran as a Chemist and Sample Lab Technician for 30 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and basketball, and Ted was an avid Phoenix Suns fan.

Ted also loved spending time with his family.

Ted was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Sylvester and Zella Speer; his loving and devoted wife, Cora “Irene” Speer and his loving and caring son, Dale Speer.

He is survived by his loving and caring son, Larry (Barbara) Speer; his beautiful and wonderful grandchildren, Michelle Speer; Paul Speer; Diane Holder (Travis); Justin Speer (Angie); Brian Speer; Gwen Ozuna (Julian); and nine  great-grandchildren

Ted was an honorable man, a loving son, devoted husband, caring and nurturing father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a wonderful friend. 

He was loved by all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.

Visitation was held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Central Christian Church, 390 E. Sycamore St., Globe, AZ  85501.

The Funeral Service followed at 11:00 a.m.

Interment with Military Honors was at Pinal Cemetery, 7667 Golden Hill Rd., Central Heights, AZ  85501.  

Reception was at Central Christian Church, 390 E. Sycamore St., Globe, AZ  85501.
