Gila County Staff saluted for service

GLOBE — Here’s what dedication looks like: longtime Gila County Government staff earned applause for their service last week at the Board of Supervisors meeting, a once-a-year salute to employees marking milestones ranging from five year to 30. Special applause went to three who were each recognized for 30 years serving the citizens of Gila County: Mary Y. Navarro, Gilbert T. Olivarez and Daniel C. Savage.

Awards for 25 years went to Pamela M. Alvino, Leona Bowman, Teresa M. Griego, Celia L. Kenyon and Yodona M. Pennell. Recognized for 20 years were Darde G. deRoulhac, Thomas H. Homan, Michele L. Salas, Violeta A. Worthey and Anita L. Zaragoza. Thanked for 15 years of service were Susan M. Aliprandini, Sadie J. Bingham, Stephanie M. Casillas, Joann S. Fane, Kristine L. Feezor, Nichole M. Harmon, David Hornung, Erich J. Kenney, Jared C. Osborn, Larry B. Pontel, Jeremy Soden, Justin M. Solberg and Michele Vuksanovich. Marking their first full decade working for Gila County were Teri K. Berumen, Antonella Campos, Robert Chagolla, Alex Cunningham, Patrice Etter, Mark S Gann, Victoria L. Garcia, Debra L. Gildersleeve, Wade K. Haynie, Thoreina Hensley, Earl D. Laforge, Megan A. Miller, Debra L. Overholt, Kari E. Pratt, Ramona V. Scales and Marcus J Teague, Jr. Five-year awards and applause went to Marion R. Barajas, Todd Baty, Debra D. Blevins, Lowell J. Brown, James D. Cross, Juliane R. DeSpain, Brian C. Dirks, Mathew Gonzales, Veronica M. Guadiana, Robert J. Johnson, Cole R. LaBonte, Shealene Loya, Heather Lutye, Shelley D. McPherson, Diana L. Moore, Jerry M. Moore, Emily Nader, Penni L. Padgett, Jessica L. Palmer, Dwight J. Payne, Jessica Richardson, Barbara A. Romero, Kyle C. Scott, Justin Simpson, Cassidy R. Smith, Kimberly K. Smith and Travis W. Todd.

Gila County Board of Supervisors Chairman Woody Cline (District 3) and Tim R. Humphrey (District 2) presented the awards in Globe, with District 1 Supervisor Tommie Martin simultaneously presenting praise in Payson to longtime Rim Country staff.
