Gila County Fair: Virtual Photo Exhibition Entries Due Sept. 16

As with so many other beloved events, Covid-19 prevention precautions brought cancellation of the Gila County Fair, but the annual livestock auction will still be held  online this month, for the first time in the fair’s half-century of history. And local photographers are invited to enter the virtual photo exhibition, affiliated with the fair and also online this month. Photo entries are due Wednesday, Sept. 16, with dozens of different categories for adult photographers and youths; for color images, digital, or black-and-white  and with so many different divisions of subject matter. Whether you prefer abstract, Gila County landscapes, nighttime shots or adorable kittens - you’ll find a category that’s perfectly suitable for your own unique style.

See the list below, and make sure to enter by Wednesday, Sept. 16 at

Entries are $1 each (PayPal or credit card). Upload your photos, and expect an email after judging, showing placement. Winners awarded ribbons will receive their prize via US mail, and all entries will be displayed on the website for the 2020-2021 year.
