Members of Globe High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (and The Papoose school newspaper staff) recently hosted a donation drive for the High Desert Humane Society Cat Adoption Center.
They were able to collect kitty litter, kitten and cat food, towels and bowls, along with other items. The students would like to thank the members of the community who provided the items and monetary donations for the shelter.
A special thank you goes to Hill Street Mall for offering their location as a drop-off spot.
Even though their donation drive has ended, the students would like to remind the community that both the local dog and cat animals shelters house many animals daily and donations are always welcome. The dog rescue is located at 150 W. Mesquite St., Globe, and the cat rescue is located at 669 N. Broad St., Globe.
