Bethanie Hudson recently received All-Academic Honors for the 2017-2018 season of softball from the Capital Athletic Conference NCAA Div. III.

Hudson is in her sophomore year at Southern Virginia University as a business management major.

In addition to her all-academic honors, Hudson is also a Marriott Scholar, was named to the 2018 Spring President’s list and has been inducted into the business honor society.

As for her athletic achievements, Hudson had a batting average of .337, scored 22 runs and had one out-of-the-park homerun for the 2018 season.

“Balancing a full-time academic schedule and full-time athletic season definitely has its challenges, but I wouldn’t choose to do anything else,” Hudson said of her award. “Here’s to the 2019 season.”

Hudson graduated Valedictorian of the Class of 2017 at Globe High School. Her parents are Brian Hudson, GHS varsity softball head coach, and Cecilie Hudson.
