Geraldine (Geri) Margaret Sater, 98, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on September 5, 2017.

She was born to the late Forest and Viola Smith in Brocton, Illinois on February 26, 1919. She moved to Arizona in 1948. She then resided in Tacoma Washington for 17 years and worked in nursing at Tacoma General Hospital before returning to Arizona.

Geri was a long time dedicated and faithful member of Word of Life Assembly of God church in Miami, Arizona.

She was a talented artist and painted numerous oil paintings for family. In her spare time, which was little she also wrote beautiful poetry.

Geri was blessed with a large and loving family.

She dedicated her life to God and spent her time showing Jesus love to her family and friends. She was always helping someone and she made a difference in everyone’s life.

She taught those that knew her what love truly meant. Her words of wisdom and prayers will be missed but we are at peace in the fact that she is in heaven with others she loved dearly.

Geri is survived by her son Dennis Sater, her daughter-in-law Carol Sater; her sister Mary Martha Huggins; 10 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren , 26 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son Steven Sater, daughter-in-law Peggy Sater, brother Elbert Smith, sister Bernadine Lannon Helen Whitworth and June Meeks; two great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
