Gary Sullivan, 74

Gary was born in Cambridge, Ohio on Jan. 13, 1945 to Paul and Edith Sullivan. He was one of five children Shirley, Charles, Kenny and Dale.

His family moved to San Manuel, Ariz. in 1955 to look for work. Gary attended school in San Manuel, Ariz.

Gary was married to Linda and had two daughters Christi and Tammy. They met during a gig.  Gary and his family, who all played in a country and western band, where Gary played the drums.

Gary went to work for the copper mines in 1966 and worked through several company changes.

Gary and Shirley met in 1973 and married in June of 1974, they had two daughters Cindy and Penny.

He became a member of the Miami Church of Christ and was baptized. He was very active in the church as a song leader that he enjoyed very much, he would ride around in his truck and loved to listen to all kinds of 70s and 80s music.

He retired from Pinto Valley Copper Mine after 37 years of dedicated service as a Mill, Crusher and Pump Operator. He became restless and needed to keep busy and found part time work.

In 2008 he finally fully retired and enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, riding his Harley Motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Edith, his brother Charles and his sister Shirley Walters (Sullivan)

Gary is survived by his wife Shirley Sullivan (Butler)

Daughters Christi (Ramon) Soto, Tammy (Aaron) Rosson, Cindy Wallace and Penny Lyman.

Brothers Kenny (Sylvia) Sullivan and Dale (Nada)Sullivan

Eight Grandchildren Aaron, Ashely, Travis, Jacob, Janaya, Jerome (JT), James JR (JJ)and Gary.

One Great Grand Daughter Keira.

A memorial Service was held on Saturday Nov. 30, at the Miami Church of Christ 735 Sullivan St. Miami, Ariz. at noon.
