Estelle Gaudreau (Waldrop), age 88 formerly of Glendale, Ariz. passed away on July 24, 2019.
One of her greatest achievements was in March of 1995, Estelle Gaudreau (Stella) fought the law. Stella went up against the Senate President John Greene and 13,500 members of the Arizona State Bar.
Estelle was quoted in the Phoenix News Times to say “A lot of people I help can’t read or write. Much less afford an attorney. Some are older people who are afraid to go downtown. Where will they go if I’m not here?” She asks in her soft southern accent.
Estelle was a force of nature, always helping anyone in need, no matter the cost. She was a loving wife, mother, exceptional grandmother and a friend. The memories that she shared with all of us will continue to live on, even after she’s gone. The funeral services will be held at Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe on Friday, Aug. 2, 2019 at 11 a.m. We extend a warm invitation to anyone who would like to pay their respects.
Estelle leaves behind five sons and a daughter and many grand and great-grandchildren and one grandchild that she raised.
Her sons are Jim Gaudreau, Michael Gaudreau, Eddy Gaudreau, Bobby Gaudreau and the baby of the family Mark Gaudreau. Her daughter Barbara Gaudreau and her granddaughter Mindee Gaudreau.
The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and support given by Ian Lamont Jr. and Pastor Bill in Globe, Ariz.
