Edward J. Collette, born Sept. 11, 1945, passed away peacefully in his home on Aug. 27, 2022. He was greeted at heaven’s gates by his wife, Marjorie Collette, daughter Buffy Collette Manago, brothers Desmond Collette, Roger Collette, Ken Johnson, Donald Johnson and Billy Johnson, and sister Florence Johnson. He is survived by brothers Louie Johnson, Reggie Collette and Dennis Johnson, and sisters Rose Johnson, Bonnie Johnson Sitnik, Terry Hayes and Shirley Brock.

Left to carry on his traditions are his children Kristy Collette, Randy and Roberta Salcido, Deneen and Noel Rocha, Elizabeth Craig, Jackie, Ramon Talamantes, and Ray and Melissa Rocha.

His legacy will continue through his 20 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Ed’s lifetime career was served as an accomplished environmentalist for over 30 years. Ed spent some of his favorite chapters in life teaching environmental and hazmat courses at Pima Community College in Arizona.

He had a passion for education and wanted to share the knowledge he possessed in his career and life. Alongside of his successful career he was the most loyal and self-sacrificing, dedicated husband to his wife Marjorie, who suffered a debilitating life stroke in 2002. He never wavered in his commitment to taking care of her in sickness and health.
