Dennis Ray Wyatt, 80

On Thursday, June 23, 2022, Dennis Ray Wyatt, loving husband and father of two children, passed away at the age of 80.

Dennis was born on Dec. 22, 1941 in Los Angeles, Ca. to Merle (Pete) and Opal (Brodrick). He spent his formative years in Miami, Az., graduating high school in 1959. On June 24, 1961, he married Georgia Brown. They raised two sons, Tim and Greg, in Phoenix, Az. He worked for nearly 30 years with the telephone company, ascending to the role of Construction Manager in the Phoenix metro area.

Dennis loved sports and spent many years coaching, volunteering for youth sports leagues and supporting his kids’ and grandkids’ endeavors. He enjoyed playing softball in various leagues and was an accomplished bowler in his younger days. In retirement, he took up golf and played frequently at both Arrowhead Country Club and Union Hills Country Club, along with a regular round with his fellow retirees from the telephone company.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Merle Wyatt, his mother, Opal White, and his son, Tim Wyatt. He is survived by his wife Georgia, his son, Greg (Wendy), grandchildren Madison Lore (Chris), Alex and Tyler, his brother Don (Vicky), three nephews, and extended family.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the Christ’s Church of the Valley – Peoria Campus located at 7007 W.
