Danny G. Reyes, 77

Danny G. Reyes, age 77, a native of Miami, Ariz. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born on October 26, 1939 to Daniel and Josepha (Guasequi) Reyes in Miami, Arizona.  Danny worked as a heavy equipment operator for the BHP Copper Mine for 35 years. 

Danny loved music and he was such a gifted and accomplished professional guitarist. He performed regularly in the group “Danny and Armando.”  He was very well known in the Miami and Globe area.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Daniel and Josefa Reyes; niece, Francis B. Miranda and nephew Boyarde Bustamante, and 12 beloved siblings.

Danny is survived by his loving and caring children, Patricia Josephine (Virgilio) Reyes; Daniel Wayne Reyes and Cherrie Katrina (Jacob Daniel Falequez) Reyes; his loving and caring sisters, Lucy (Arturo) Ayala, Vicenta Reyes, Florence R. Reyes, Felice R. Rodriguez, Francis R. Bustamante, Pete Reyes and Paul Reyes;  11 beautiful and cherished grandchildren; and many beautiful nieces and nephews that he loved.

Danny was a loving and engaging grandfather and he enjoyed spending time with each of his precious grandchildren. 

One of Danny’s favorite hobbies was that he loved taking walks with his beloved pet dog down Sullivan Street in Miami to buy lottery tickets.  Danny also had a passion for politics.

Our hearts are broken over our beloved Danny’s passing, but we are comforted in knowing that he is now in eternal peace with Christ our Savior and playing his beautiful guitar for all to enjoy in heaven.

Visitation Services for Danny will be on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 914 Sullivan St., Miami, AZ  85539.  The Rosary will follow at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. 

The Burial will immediately follow at the Pinal Cemetery, 7667 Golden Hill Road, Central Heights, AZ  85501.
