Cristi Lee Licano, 44 years young, entered into eternal rest on Nov. 11, 2018. Cristi was born in Globe, Ariz. on Aug. 19, 1974 to Natalia Licano York. Cristi attended Miami area schools and graduated from Miami High School in 1993. She had a passion for sports and was a stellar athlete that excelled in volleyball, basketball, tennis and softball during her high school years. She led the Miami Vandals to multiple high school state championships and also received a scholarship to play volleyball for Yavapai College. Early in her adult life, Cristi resided in the East Valley for several years where she gave birth to her only child, Breanna. Cristi always felt most at home in her small town of Globe-Miami, where she eventually moved back to work in the hospitality business. Her various jobs held in the Globe-Miami area offered opportunities to meet wonderful people who either lived in the community or were just traveling through town. She was always there to listen and help in a time of need and genuinely cared about how you were doing. Cristi enjoyed dancing and cooking Mexican food which she loved to share while hosting family and friends. Cristi was known for her quick wit, contagious laughter and above all else, her love for others. Cristi was an avid sports fan and could always be found cheering for her Dallas Cowboys.

Cristi Lee was an amazing mother and leaves behind one daughter, Breanna, who was her life’s pride and joy in addition to the countless lives that she brightened and made an everlasting positive impact on.

Cristi Lee Licano was proceeded into death by her beloved grandmother, Loren Alderete Licano and aunt Pauline Licano. She is survived by her loving and caring daughter, Breanna Nicole Griego; mother Natalia Licano York; sisters Priscilla Licano Moran and Jaime Tabor; brother Derek York and her adoptive family, Bob Asanovich, Dolores Gaona, Josh Asanovic, and Adrea France in addition to numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family members and friends.

Services will be on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018 at Miami High School Auditorium in Miami, with the viewing at 9 a.m. Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. with the interment following the services at Mt. Breeze Memorial Gardens in Miami. Reception to follow interment at the Miami High School.
