During the past week we have added two dogs to our family. The first was adopted from the High Desert Humane Society, and a few days later we adopted the second from Gila County Animal Control.
The two have become best friends and we are very happy to have them in our home. Our experiences with both agencies were very positive, and we have been impressed by the employees and volunteers who show such concern for the welfare of animals in their care.
Our second dog was receiving medical care, and the staff at the Animal Shelter worked with us to continue treatment and follow-up care. We thank them for this special assistance, and we thank the High Desert Humane Society, Animal Control and the Gila County Health Department for their care of our wonderful new family members, and for allowing us to take them home.
We hope that others in this community will look locally first when they choose to add a new pet to their family. We did and could not be happier.
