Australian author Aaron Blabey gave a rousing book talk to the students of Copper Rim Elementary School on Tuesday, April 10.
The children were enthralled as he showed the pages of his book, “Bad Guys” on the screen and took on all the parts with gusto.
He also narrated slides of his book about a pony who masquerades as a unicorn and doesn’t like the celebrity life that follows.
He explained how he got into writing children’s books after a career in art, acting, and advertising, and announced that “Bad Guys” would be made into a movie by DreamWorks. Then he took questions from the audience, including, “what kind of shoes do your wear.”
After the talk, he signed copies of books the children bought at a Scholastic Book Fair.
