Copper mines continue to hire as copper rebounds

The strong  rebound of copper which has been underway for a number  months now continues as copper prices flirt around  $3.00 a pound and under while the mines continue to try and fill more new job positions

At the present time we have found 222 openings at copper mines operating here in Arizona.  This figures includes 92 job alerts in our part of the state.

They are as follows:

Pinto Valley Copper Mine West of Miami shows  34 positions remaining to fill..

Freeport Miami has job alerts out for 13 openings while Freeport McMoRan Safford lists 8 positions open,

Resolution Copper has a total of 11 open positions with the mine owner and several contractors.

ASARCO at Hayden in southern Gila County is presently taking applications for 13 job  while its nearby Ray Mine near Kearney also has 13 positions to fill.

Elsewhere in the state the total number of open positions at Freeport McMoRan Morenci is 56. 

ASARCO at its Mission Mine south of Tucson shows 12 job alerts while Freeport McMoRan has 18 open positions at its operations in Green Valley south of Tucson.

Other Freeport McMoRan operations such as corporate headquarters in Phoenix taking applications for 24 openings, while its Bagdad Mine has 12 positions open.

The company is also showing it has two new positions to fill in Tucson.

ASARCO shows it is currently taking applications for one open position at its corporate headquarters in Tucson.

Meanwhile at the ASARCO Mission Mine south of Tucson there are 12 open jobs to fill and the ASARCO Silver Bell Mine at Marana northwest of Tucson is taking applications for 5 open positions there.
