On Facebook members meetup at the group page for ‘Democrats of Cobre Valley And Independent Friends,’ and they’ll gather in person Feb. 20 and future Thursdays listed below at Globe Public Library on Thursday nights at 6:30 p.m. Members are planning activities and voter outreach during this election year. Their website asserts the group “support our candidates and the principles of the Democratic Party: we believe that every American, whatever their background or station in life, should have the chance to get a good education, to work at a good job with good wages, to raise and provide for a family, to live in safe surroundings, and to retire with dignity and security. We believe that quality and affordable health care is a basic right. We believe that each succeeding generation should have the opportunity, through hard work, service and sacrifice, to enjoy a brighter future than the last.”
Future meeting dates are March 19, April 16, May 21, June 18, July 16, Aug. 20, Sept. 17, Oct. 15 and Nov. 19
