Census 2020 Promotional Partners: Gila County and Miami Town Council!

MIAMI — Miami Town Council members Don Reiman, Dan Moat, Mayor Darryl Dalley, Jose ‘Angel’ Medina, Vice Mayor Sammy Gonzales and Patty Bringhurst know the importance of an accurate population count when the decennial census begins next month, and recently installed Gila County’s census awareness banner in the council chamber to help spread the message. This year marks the first in United States history where ‘heads of household’ will be able to complete their census online, or by phone - although the standard hard copy on paper is available, too. Watch for a postcard in your mailbox with log-in instructions to complete yours online. A new nationwide census is required by the U.S. Constitution every 10 years; federal funding distributed to states, counties and local communities will be determined by results 2020 census data.

Individual census information is confidential, too protected by law for 72 years.
