CAFE Flutes concert in Globe March 30

Posted

The Globe-Miami Community Concert Association (GMCCA) will present CAFE Flutes (Central Arizona Flute Ensemble), its fifth of six performances, at High Desert Middle School Auditorium on Saturday, March 30, at 7 p.m.

CAFE musicians are professional and semi-professional flutists who have played in major orchestras and bands throughout the Phoenix area.

Their repertoire includes seasonal favorites mixed with patriotic and folk song medleys, golden oldies, whimsical pieces, jazz standards and familiar classical melodies.

Audiences have appreciated CAFE’s professional, yet relaxed, performances; their active engagement with the audience; interesting arrangements of familiar melodies along with a few new pieces; their introductions to each instrument; the friendly and clear introductions to each piece along with trivia about the music and its composer.

These are the final two concerts in the 2018-19 GMCCA season.

CAFE Flutes – Saturday, March 30 at High Desert Middle School auditorium, located at 4000 High Desert Dr., Globe.

Nicole Pesce, pianist extraordinaire – Tuesday, April 30, at Miami High School auditorium. Her repertoire ranges from Bach to Lady Gaga with everything in between.
