San Carlos Varsity Boys dominated San Miguel who ranks fourth in 2A South. The Vipers beat Santa Rita, Miami and Globe before falling to the Braves 37-70. John Mull was the leader with six baskets including three 3-pointers plus 5 free throws.  Cameron Mull and Reppert Casssdore scored 7 points each. Eliah Victor and Brandon Anderson scored 5 points each.  Malakai Martinez and Deandre Dude each contributed 4 points, Tayandre Wright 6 points, and Elijah Bullis weighed in with 9 points in baskets and Free Throws.

From the start of the second half, the Braves were never less than 18 points ahead of the Vipers. San Carlos stands 5th in 2A South and San Miguel stands 4th, but it wasn’t in that order on Friday Night. Their next more-or-less home game will pit them against Globe at Globe on Jan. 6.

The Brave JV team also won and dominated the game before the basketball briefly turned to Kryptonite, allowing the Vipers to go ahead 37-38 with a minute and 9 seconds left in the fourth quarter.

Jeremiah Kenton, #33 came through in a nail biting situation with a lay up that put the Braves ahead 39-38 with 13.7 seconds left. The Vipers fouled Xaiver Hooke #22 who sank three free throws to bring the score to 41-18 but still within the Vipers ability to tie the game in the 4.3 seconds they had left if they were to hit a three pointer. But they didn’t and the ending score was 41-38.
