Globe — On Saturday at approximately 3:25 p.m., the Globe Regional Dispatch Center began receiving reports of a structure fire in the area of Country Club Annex.
Units from Globe Fire Department and Tri-City Fire District were dispatched as reports continued to come in. Units responding to the scene reported visible smoke in the area.
On arrival, the initial unit reported a heavily involved modular home with multiple vehicles, including an RV, involved. It was determined that all occupants were out of the building.
Due to the heavy volume of fire, a defensive strategy was used with crews outside the building working to keep the flames from spreading to any other structures, vehicles or vegetation in the area.
This fire required a total of three engines and 15 personnel to bring it under control. Crews remained on scene for an extended time to extinguish hot spots.
Globe Fire Department Captain Joe Bracamonte investigated and determined the fire was accidentally started. The fire departments were assisted on scene by the Globe Police Department and the Gila County Sheriff’s Office.
