Globe — The AZ Longshots Travel Baseball 14U is formed from the Globe, Miami and surrounding areas and has been competing in USSSA tournaments for the last four years in Phoenix, Peoria, Glendale, Chandler, Mesa and other surrounding cities.
They are currently ranked #2 in the state and #37 of 2,083 teams in the nation. The AZ Longshots have been invited to play in the USSSA World Series and the International World Series Qualifier Tournaments.
The tournaments will be held at the Big League Dreams in Chino Hills, Calif. from June 21-26. The Longshots are holding various fundraisers to raise the money for the travel costs. Any donations can be made to: AZ Longshots/Elton Dalmolin, P.O. Box 910 W. Cirrus Way, Miami, AZ 85539.
The team will hold a car wash fundraiser on Saturday, June 10 at Aaron’s starting at 8 a.m. (There is a possibility of the car wash being held at Fry’s).
