ASU awards Vanta full scholarship

Blayze Vanta is a Class of 2020 graduate from Globe High School. During her high school career, she not only graduated in the top 10 percent of her class, she was also involved in many extracurricular activities. She was a member of the GHS Spiritline all four years, which led to attending two state cheer championships. Blayze was an elected student council member all four years; Student Body Secretary her senior year. She was inducted into the National Honor Society her sophomore year, while taking several dual credit classes, as well as participating in the CVIT program through Eastern Arizona College. After successfully completing the two year CVIT program her junior year, she passed the Arizona state boards becoming a Registered Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist. She also spent one year in 4H, and one year as a Link Crew Leader her senior year. Blayze received the President Barack Obama Scholarship through Arizona State University. This full ride scholarship will allow her to fulfill a lifetime dream of attending ASU in the Biological Science program. She is studying to become a cardiothoracic surgeon. Her mom, Anndee Vanta, couldn’t be more proud of all her accomplishments and is very excited to watch her learn and grow out on her own. Blayze also received several local scholarships: SME Pinal Mountain, 4H, McWilliams, and EAARC that she is also very grateful for.
